Live Photos™ is a distinctive feature of iOS, blending photo and video elements, resulting in a larger file size compared to standard photographs. Live Cutter offers a practical solution by extracting still images and videos from these live photos, allowing users to convert a live photo into a static photo and subsequently delete the original.

This functionality provides notable benefits in terms of storage management:

• Each file's size for both still images and videos can be viewed within a live photo.
• Users can easily obtain an image from a live photo.
• A video can also be extracted from a live photo.
• The original image or video can be retrieved from an edited live photo.
• There is no loss of image quality, and metadata, such as the date taken, is preserved.

• Live Cutter enables straightforward comparison between two live photos by disabling auto playback.

Furthermore, Live Cutter can identify photos that were originally captured as live photos but subsequently edited to turn off the live effect. These images retain the unused video component, which can be deleted using Live Cutter to free up additional storage space.

This feature alleviates concerns regarding the status of the live icon when capturing images. Users can confidently take live photos and convert them later if the live effect proves unnecessary.

Note: Deleted images are stored in the "Recently Deleted" album within Photos. To immediately free storage, users can navigate to the Photos app, select the "Albums" tab multiple times until the album list appears, access the "Recently Deleted" album, click on "Select," and choose "Delete All."
